This session introduces participants to the structured approach used by ethical hackers to identify and assess security weaknesses in systems and networks. Students will explore the phases of ethical hacking, including reconnaissance, scanning, gaining access, maintaining access, and covering tracks.

The session will also cover the Cyber Kill Chain model, explaining how real-world attackers plan and execute cyber attacks step by step — from initial reconnaissance to data exfiltration. Understanding this model helps organizations detect, prevent, and respond to attacks effectively.
